In 2026, counts have been submitted for a total of 305 sites totalling 1549 active nests. Sites and nests are often used in successive years, so the cumulative totals of multiple years doubtless overestimate the actual totals. Once we have removed any duplicate sites, the totals for individual years are as accurate as possible.

Each marker represents a site with at least one nest - click or tap on the marker to see more details. Some sites are indiviual houses, shops or other buildings; some are roads or villages with several nests on different buildings.  At many sites, we think that only a small proportion of nests were reported and that the colony had several additional pairs nesting nearby.

Help us fill in the gaps on the 2026 map by telling us where you have seen nests in use on this page.
